About Flexboard

Flexboard started in our kitchen in Zurich.

Not in a lab. Not in an office. In the middle of family life — between daycare drop-offs, school runs, work calendars, and the daily "did you remember?"

Our kids were 2 and 5. We were struggling. We wanted family life to feel smoother, calmer, more organized — but instead we were juggling appointments, missing details, and occasionally double-booking ourselves.

Flexboard came from that very real, very personal need: to bring structure, clarity, and calm into our everyday.*

Honestly? When Dad first suggested adding "another screen" to our home, Mommy was skeptical.

The prototype went up anyway. And something unexpected happened.

We loved it.

Suddenly, the day started with one glance at the wall. We could all see — kids included — what was coming, what mattered, and how to prepare. The morning rehearsal in our heads stopped. The "who's picking up whom?" stopped.

Two features we didn't expect to love this much:

The weather widget. One look in the morning tells us how to dress the kids — and ourselves — without ever opening a phone.

The photo carousel. Let's just say: photobooks didn't survive Flexboard. Seeing our favorite memories on the wall, every day, is so much better.*

Flexboard's founder is a biochemical scientist, and the whole idea is built on how the brain actually works. As cognitive neuroscientist Daniel J. Levitin explains in his book The Organized Mind, the human brain wasn't designed to constantly store, rehearse, and remind itself of endless information. It evolved to perceive, decide, act — and return to balance.

That's why we think of Flexboard as a second brain for your family. Put everything there. Dump it. Share it. And let your mind breathe again.

Flexboard isn't about perfection. It's about making everyday family life a little calmer, clearer, and more enjoyable — just like we wanted it for ours.
